We drove south and spent the night just outside of Manzanillo. Had to do some grocery shopping and we decided to buy a tent. We have gotten use to sleeping in the car but someone has to get up during the middle of the night and not to easy.
The next day we continued our drive south. Ended up at Paco's Beach campground. Rather rustic but this is an adventure so we are good. They have water, electric and wi-fi which are the 3 things we look for when choosing a campsite.
If you have driven Hwy 1 in CA, this drive would remind you of that drive. Beautiful cliffs, rock formations, curvy roads.

At our little piece of paradise in Punta Mita!
Clarence and I left on Monday and drove to Punta Mita. We were very happy that the new toll road is open for a at least 50 miles. Very nice rode! We stopped in Sayulita for lunch and then arrived in Punta Mita about 2. We love Sayulita but it just keeps getting more commercialized. A bunch of new restaurants to try. Still a great place to sit and watch the people go by.
Pics from our terrace. We never get tired of this view!
We head out on the 22nd for Mexico City. We will stop along the way.
Hotel Paraiso Miramar Santa Cruz Mexico
Camped 4 nights at Hotel Paraiso Miramar. It was a very nice, clean, on the beach camp ground. We
met Linda Paquette and Line-gina Levesque, who are both from Canada and traveling all around the US and Mexico. Both ladies have traveled the world so we had some great conversations about where we have all been and where we want to go to. I was very inspired by these 2 ladies. They have no fear traveling alone or just the 2 of them. You go your two. Hope to see you again.

After 3 days of relaxing it was time to hit the road again. We were off to Mazatlan.
We are in Mazatlan until Friday. Very nice city. My parents brought me and my brother John here when I was in the 6th grade and again when I was a freshman in high school. Nothing looks the same. This is a very modern clean inviting city with some very cool things to see and great food! A local told us to eat at Los Arcos for dinner. Oh my, the seafood is delicious. We have eaten dinner there twice now. The Chiles Torito are stuffed caribbean peppers with shrimp in a dark sauce. We also had Ostiones Teacapan - Grilled oysters in 4 different presentations. Absolutely delicious!!!
Ok our blog is up to date. We are headed out to explore Mazatlan some more.
