Nicaragua has a lake with an island with 2 volcanos

Looking at the map we saw there was this island on a lake with 2 volcanoes that looked very cool. There is a car ferry that goes back and forth, so off we headed to Lake Cocivolca to the island of Ometepe. By the time we got off the ferry, seeing the road conditions, we stopped and stayed at this hotel for the night. We would head to the camping lodge the next day, We we’re up early and heading to our next destination. When we arrived it was closed. So we turned around and decided we had enough of this country and would head to Costa Rica. We knew that Costa Rica was a better place for us.

Remember I mentioned "civil liability" insurance on a prior post. Thankful we found an insurance company in the city where were able to purchase.

Clarence got stopped 3 times by the police. The first 2 times they let us go. The 3rd time the police told Clarence he went to fast over a "speed bump". We just had to laugh and pay her $20 US to get his license and insurance card back. Again very thankful that we had that insurance card!

We did not feel comfortable in Nicaragua and I cannot image us ever coming here again to visit!
