Panama coast

From July 2nd until July 5th we stay at a hotel with full kitchen in Torio Panama.

We have a refrigerator/freezer in the car and still a bunch of frozen meals that we need to eat up before we ship the car, so this was a great place for us.
The owners, Ralph, Natalia and their son Chris are originally from Canada and moved here 8 years ago to build this hotel. The hotel is on a mountain overlooking the ocean. Beautiful views. Great swimming pool and greenhouse where Ralph grows herbs, vegetables and fruits. He let me pick herbs and fruit to cook with and eat. Yummy!!
We met Francine and Guy who were from Canada and looking to purchase a home/land in the area.
There was a 80th birthday party the first night at the hotel and all were ex-pats from US or Canada. Great group of people. They were very interested in our adventure and we were interested in their lives in Panama.
One couple Mike and Lynn built the home surrounded by the jungle. Mike and Lynn took us and Francine and Guy to look at some property and their home. I did not have my phone so I couldn’t take pictures of their home and the jungle. They are actually surrounded by jungle! They have this great covered deck and pool and the jungle comes right up to the patio/pool. They have monkeys, iguanas, snakes, spiders and who knows what other types of jungle animals. They have given the monkeys all names. It took them 4 years to build their house and completed 3 years ago.
We really enjoyed our time here meeting new friends.
We had a lot of rain and clouds so you could not see the island all the time. They told us the island has white sandy beaches not like the beaches here.
